Arsenii Nikolaiev
Founder, curriculum-setter
Arsenii (in the white jumper) studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. He won a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2018 and has experience preparing teams of several countries for international mathematics competitions. Arsenii has been taking part in organizing educational projects since 2016. He is the current chairman of the club, and is in charge of preparing the educational material.
Arsenii does yoga, plays football and ice-hockey. He likes reading about psychology in his free time.
Andrew Ng
Vice-president, teacher
Andrew studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. He is an executive vice president of operations for this project, and in particular is responsible for outreach and communication between the teachers.
Andrew likes playing board games, in particular chess, in his free time.
Yuliia Bykhovets
Manager, teacher
Yuliia studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Peterhouse. Yuliia has wide experience teaching mathematics to pupils in Ukraine. She is a manager of this project and helps with the outreach.
Outside of being a diehard Swiftie, she reads a lot of books and is a slave to her cats in her free time.
Hugo Eberhard
Teacher
Hugo studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. He is one of Sweden's most successful competitors, having won a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2018 and gold medal in 2019, and bronze medals at the International Informatics Olympiad both in 2018 and 2019. He is a regular at Swedish maths camps, preparing the national team of Sweden for international mathematics competitions.
Hugo is a member of multiple university choirs, and likes cooking and playing board games in his free time.
Glen Lim
Teacher
Glen studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. Having fulfilled his national duty of winning a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2016, he continues helping the national team of Singapore along their quest for more medals at various international mathematics competitions.
Glen is a member of a university choir because he can't get enough music in his life. Don't mention any musicals if you want to get things done, but do if you want him to sing. He also likes playing board games in his free time.
Shyngys Bilyalov
Teacher
Shyngys studies mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Peterhouse. He won a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad both in 2018 and in 2019 and has experience preparing the national team of Kazakhstan for international mathematics competitions.
Shyngys plays the "dombra", a musical instrument common in Central Asia, and performs at concerts in Cambridge. If you ask nicely he might teach you how to play (provided you have one).
Ania Łeń
Financial Officer
Ania studies mathematics with physics at the University of Warsaw. She has been taking part in organizing international camps since 2017 and has wide experience teaching mathematics and physics to pupils in Poland. In Kvanta she takes care of the project's finances.
Non-academically, she is keen on winter sports, badminton, travelling and late-night walks.
Joanna Symonowicz
Designer
Joanna is a 2nd year PhD student at the Department of Physics, University of Cambridge. There she also works as a Physics lab demonstrator and runs projects for NanoDTC students. Joanna has published a lot of scientific papers, including one in the most famous physical journal "Nature". A former architect and a painting teacher, she helps with the project's graphics.
